1. How can I register as a contractor/Supplier with NLNG?

The process for registration is as follows:

• Applicant completes online application form on NLNG vendor registration website https://nlngevims.aecglobal.com/

• Submitted on-line application form and documents are reviewed by NLNG Vendor Services team for completeness and correctness.

• Applicant with complete and correct application receives an e-mail confirming completion of application.

• Successful applicant registered as a vendor with NLNG receives
an e-mail confirmation.

2. What are the requirements for registration?

Basic requirements for registration are:

a) Nigeria Vendors/Contractors

• Certificate of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
• Tax Identification Number(TIN)
• Value Added Tax(VAT) certificate
• Tax Clearance Certificate
• Bank details
• Form C02,C07 where applicable
• Memorandum & Article of Association
• Total number of employees
• Registered company address
• Director(s)/Sole Proprietor’ s Signature Specimen where applicable
• Management contact information
• Organizational Structure
• Area of business and previous experience
• HSE policy statement
• Quality Assurance policy
• Insurances
• Financial Information

b) Foreign Vendors

• Total number of employees

3. We are having challenges uploading our documents on eVIMS

• Reduce the size of your documents to 4MB maximum per page.
• Allowable file format: PDF or JPG

4. After Online application what next?

Further review and evaluation of all completed and correct applications shall be done in batches / phases depending on NLNG business needs. You will be contacted if successful or not.

5. How many categories is a contractor/supplier allowed to register on?

We encourage prospective supplier to register in their areas of core competence. (Maximum 4 broad categories with 10 Subcategories each for suppliers and maximum 4 broad categories with 10 Subcategories each for contractors)

6. How does a contractor/supplier expand his areas of services/products with NLNG?

7. How long does it take for a company to be registered as a supplier/Contractor?

After all application forms and documents (see items 2a & 2b) are complete and correct, it takes about 9 business days to be registered.

8. How much does it cost for a supplier/contractor to be registered with NLNG?

Registration as a Supplier/Contractor with NLNG is FREE. NO CHARGES ARE TO BE PAID TO ANY PERSONNEL FOR REGISTRATION AS A VENDOR

9. Are there specific areas of business that NLNG is looking for vendors to register?

Registration as a vendor in NLNG is subject to relevance of vendor’s area of expertise to NLNG’s business needs. See available areas of subscription on NLNG vendor registration website.

10. We have been registered for long with NLNG but have not been given any job?

There exists a circulatory system in place for the selection of vendors from our large database for the purpose of tendering for jobs. It may take some time to get to your turn.

11. Will I receive any written document from NLNG to show that we have been registered?

Successful applicant registered as a vendor with NLNG receives an e-mail confirmation.

12. How do we change our Company details?

a) Contact info (address, email address, phone no., and bank?)

Changes to your contact information (company address, e-mail, phone numbers, etc) can only be effected upon the provision of the following documents; Memorandum duly signed by the company directors.
Please provide the documents requested of you for speedy close-out of your request

b) Bank Account Details?

Changes to your Bank Account Details can only be effected upon the provision of the following documents; Memorandum duly signed by the company directors, Bank reference letter showing that you are not in any way obligated to maintain domiciliation on your previous account, Bank reference letter acknowledging that you are the bon-a-fide operator of the new account and also that the indicated changes are legitimate.

c) Change of Company Name?

Changes to your Company Name can only be effected upon the provision of the following documents; Certificate of Name change from CAC and Memorandum duly signed by the company directors.

13. When I complete a portal on the eVIMS and click "Save/Continue", I get an error message that the server is out of service.

14. What is required on a Bank Detail?

Bank details must be on the company’s letter headed, signed by either the MD or any of the directors of the company and addressed to the FNP Department, NLNG as follows:

15. Is it possible to update company information/records previously submitted on the NLNG portal?

16. How do we arrange for presentation of our services/Products with NLNG?

Vendors can officially request for a presentation on their area of specialization through the Business Strategy & Support unit (CPM/4). CPM/4 co-ordinates with the necessary user department to facilitate the presentation. Please send your requests to Vendor.enquiry@nlng.com

What is Employee's Compensation Certificate Insurance (Now Employee Compensation)?

• This is also a compulsory policy, provided for within the Employees Compensation Act 20102. It provides that employers, with a minimum of 5 employees, shall maintain a Employee Compensation fund for their employees or their dependents for any injury, disease or disability arising out of or in the course of the employee’s employment.

What is Group Life Assurance Policy?

• This is also a compulsory policy, provided for within the Pension Reform Act. It provides that employers, with a minimum of 5 employees, shall maintain a life insurance policy in favour of the employee for a minimum of three times the annual total employment of the employee.
• For NLNG Contractors, it is mandatory for all suppliers of Manpower / Labour / Services to submit evidence of the Group Life Assurance Policy.
• All other contractors who need to have their personnel physically present on any of our locations at any time and for any purpose, need to also submit evidence of the Group Life Assurance Policy.

What is Motor Vehicle Insurance?

• According to the Motor Vehicle (Third Party) Insurance Act, no person shall use or cause or permit any other person to use any motor vehicle on the road, unless a third party insurance has been procured from a registered insurer in Nigeria.
• All vehicles in Nigeria must possess, at least, the mandatory Third Party Insurance which provides cover against injury, death or medical expenses to third parties, and/or damages to third party property, in the event of an accident.
• However, all vehicles, leased or hired to NLNG must have comprehensive insurance.

What is General third Party/Public Liability?

• This is a liability coverage purchased by the policyholder as a protection against possible litigation filed by a third party. The insured and the insurer are the first and second parties to any insurance contract.
• This is usually a standard requirement for all NLNG contracts.
• All contractors are expected to purchase this policy, usually to the value of their contract sum, or as specified in the contract documents.

What is Professional Indemnity?

• This policy covers professionals for negligence and errors or omissions that could potentially cause ‘injuries’ (liabilities) to their clients.
• It is mandatory for all contractors who provide professional and/or consultancy services to NLNG.
• These include, but are not limited to, Retainer Hospitals, Auditors, Consultants, Insurance Brokers, and Bankers etc.

What is Contractors All Risk Insurance?

• This is a policy that protects the contractors from risks of damage to own and existing property during the validity of a construction contract.
• It is required that all contractors involved in construction projects for NLNG purchase this policy .
• Provision of other policies are determined by the type of contract e.g. – Erection All Risks (for plants installation e.g. generators, water treatment plants etc).
